Opis knjige

One of the great classics of Irish drama, Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion is a retelling of the original Greek myth, with a modern perspective. His version retains many features of the original story, since the topic was very popular among Victorian era British playwrights. Written in early 1912 tt was first produced on stage in 1913 in Vienna, and 1914 in New York and London. Since then, the play transcended many cultural and language barriers, and widely known as the inspiration for the highly romanticized 1956 musical and 1964 film My Fair Lady.
